christmas Lights  & spanish fashion

For yet another year, the Madrid City Council, through the Madrid Capital de Moda project, collaborates with the Fashion Creators Association (ACME) to dress the streets of the city with the luminous designs of some of the Spanish fashion creators.

This year, new creators participate in the Christmas lighting with their creations such as Moisés Nieto who has decorated Arenal street, Ana Locking who has done the same in Chueca square and Helena Rohner who has designed the new Christmas tree in the San Juan de la Cruz square.

All these new illuminations join those that could already be enjoyed last Christmas: The menina dressed as a bride made by Andrés Sardá within the framework of Meninas Madrid Gallery in collaboration with Antonio Azzatto can be seen at its location on Paseo de Prado, while whoever passes through Madrid Río, near to Puente del Rey will discover the fir tree made by Devota & Lomba.

Teresa Helbig decorates Fuencarral street with a design made with lemurs, on Preciados street there are Juan Vidal’s ties and red heart, while Maya Hansen has created a reindeer design for Montera street and Juan Duyos has “jeweled” Goya street.
