The artist Missmsmith shows her work on the streets of Madrid

La artista Missmsmith muestra su obra en las calles de Madrid

The artist Marta Herrero Arias creates her work under the pseudonym Missmsmith, an initiative that emerged as a way to disconnect from the ubiquitous digital environment to grab hold of raw materials and thus be able to have a reunion with manual processes. Graduated in Audiovisual Communication and Master in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid, she has joined her more than ten years in large creative companies such as Disney, Loewe or NBC Universal, they have led her to a style of her own with which she dominates creation and artistic direction.

Since 2013, Marta carries out her work entirely on paper creating a sustainable proposal with the environment that, through the force of the three-dimensionality that the material allows, evokes an ephemeral universe to dream of immersing itself in magical surroundings. His creations are kept in the urban space for a limited time outdoors, or, eternally. Marta recently installed a heart-shaped mural with geometric edges in the center of Plaza del Callao, made entirely of paper.

These days and on the occasion of Madrid Craft Week, the artist will install a geometric block mural on Calle San Pedro in addition to collaborating with a sponsored action in which she will display giant crepe paper flowers in the heart of Plaza de Santa Ana. To end the week, within the CALLE Lavapiés initiative, Missmsmith will decorate Ms. Wood’s façade in the neighborhood that promotes the action of brightening Madrid’s streets.

If you want to discover the wonderful work of this artist, you just have to take a walk around the Barrio de las Letras and Lavapiés or enter the gallery that we have dedicated to her in Madrid Capital de Moda,  where you can see her precious works: Missmsmith Photo Gallery .
