El Festival Gastronómico OríGenes llega a Madrid

 

The OríGenes gastronomic festival arrives in Madrid celebrating its first edition at the Fundación Ortega – Marañón, offering the public a unique experience in which gastronomy and sustainability will be equal protagonists from 22 to 23 September.

9 new food producers will present their history to the public and will cook different dishes that have been designed to be presented exclusively for the festival. The OríGenes gastronomic festival also offers a wide-ranging programme of talks by leading professionals from different sectors on culture, conscious gastronomy and sustainability.

Attendees will be offered different tastings enlivened by live music and innovative workshops on the future of human food.

oríGenes Gastronomic Festival is promoted by two entrepreneurs specialised in communication and design of sustainable gastronomic experiences: Lluís Cintas and Ana Godó, who wanted to have 9 protagonists in its first edition in Madrid who will share with the attendees all their talent and professionalism through the different proposals they will present.

➖ Anselmo Pérez (Salamanca): 100% acorn-fed Iberian pigs in their own pasture with only 200 animals. Its artisan technique of “a pico” cutting has travelled around the world.

➖ Gonzalo Coalla (Madrid):He has a great knowledge of cheeses in Spain, and he will tell us about his approach to producers in order to obtain extraordinary cheeses and bring them to the city.

➖ Xesc Reina, (Can Company, Mallorca): One of the country’s leading artisan innovators of sobrasada with its native and peculiar black pork.

Carlos Piernas, (Carpier, Cataluña): will repeat at the festival, officially presenting his new smoked preserves product that he has been researching for more than 3 years.

➖ Pepe Fortea (Territorio Paella, Valencia) will explain the secret of traditional rice dishes.

➖ Viri Fernández, (El Llar de Viri, Asturias):An enterprising woman will cook her fabada, which has been awarded the prize for “the best fabada in the world”, and will share with us the secrets of her fabes.

The Community of Madrid will be present with M-certified products, promoting the quality and proximity of Madrid products, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food with a special tasting of award-winning oils from Alimentos de España.

➖ Albert Roca (Sant Crio Gelats, Barcelona) will explain how to make innovative artisan ice creams with local products.

➖ Juan Ángel Rodrigálvarez (Cankel Kakao, La Rioja) will bring the traditional “bean to bar” chocolate technique in which he is a pioneer in Spain.

➖ The gastronomic proposal will have a pairing created by Quim Vila, from Vila Viniteca, with a selection of exciting wines.

➖  Special beer pairing by Cervezas Alhambra and the collaboration of Vermut Petroni and Grupo Emperador with their iconic Brandy and Euroselecció Riedel glasses.

After having held two successful editions in Barcelona, oríGenes Gastronomic Festival arrives in the capital with the aim of becoming the benchmark, both for professionals in the sector and for food lovers.
