Jeans, de la calle al Ritz
24 November, 2023 17 March, 2024

The Museo del Traje is hosting the Fundació Antoni de Montpalau’s project: Jeans, de la calle al Ritz (Jeans, from the street to the Ritz), which can be visited on the ground floor from 24 November to 17 March 2024 with free admission until full capacity is reached.
In this exhibition, visitors can take a journey through the history of one of the most widely used fabrics in the world: denim. Through Jeans, from the street to the Ritz, visitors will be able to discover the origins that date back to the 17th and 18th centuries, until the mid-19th century, when the garment that takes its name from the fabric itself was born.
Although jeans, denim and denim clothing were born in the field of workwear, they are undoubtedly among the most universal elements in contemporary fashion, and current ready-to-wear brands and world-renowned designers have used them in their collections on numerous occasions. Visit the Costume Museum and discover the exhibition Jeans, from the street to the Ritz.
