Madrid Circular | IED MADRID

In Madrid Capital de Moda we always support sustainability within the fashion sector so we want to tell you that from 15 to 17 November IED presents MADRID CIRCULAR: Days of inspiration and action in sustainable fashion.
The fashion of the future, say the organisers, has to take action, co-creating innovative solutions that advocate a sustainable and circular approach. For this reason, the IED presents these three conferences in which different experts from the sector will participate as speakers.
OFFICIAL PROGRAMME
➡️ OPENING – Wednesday 15th – Inspiration Day: The opening of the conference will seek to contextualise sustainability in the School by bringing together IED students and teachers.
Participants: Blanca Gómara (Sustainability Culture, Inditex), María Giraldo (Sensitisation, Moda re-), Lucas Muñoz Muñoz (Designer), and Alex Hug (textile sculptor expert in upcycling and circular strategies).
➡️ II & III DAY – Thursday 16 & Friday 17 – Hackathon: The Hackthatfashion project (previous selection of participants through an open call with the support of IED Madrid teachers) will offer attendees the opportunity to take part in a creative challenge to shape their design projects or business ideas and to learn the keys to implement sustainable and circular strategies in areas such as design, innovation in materials and processes, product life cycle, circular business models and communication.
