Madrid es Moda: The most expected urban festival is back!

Like very year, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week comes together with the best company: Madrid Es Moda.

From Friday, January 18 until Thursday, the 31st, the capital offers fashion for all kinds of tastes in this exhibition organized by the Association of Fashion Designers of Spain (ACME) together with the support of Madrid Capital De Moda.

The 8th edition of this festival presents different alternatives to celebrate the first Fashion Week of this 2019. One of the first events started in this festival is the sustainable design exhibition organized by The Circular Project at the Lush Spa Madrid, which will have within its program some conferences focused on the relationship between fashion and the environment.

Within the program of Madrid Es Moda you can find numerous activities and events that you can enjoy in a way you have never done before. On this occasion, the young designers and students of the different design schools will be able to participate in different showcases and contests organized by designers such as ManéMané or Juan Vidal, among others.

In this edition of Madrid Es Moda, we can travel back to the past thanks to the exhibition organized in the National Museum of Decorative Arts by the EFE Agency in collaboration with ACME with the name of: “The feminine seams of the Spanish Fashion (1930 – 2018)”. In this exhibition you can see different photos made by the prestigious agency, as well as clothing and accessories that will take us through the history of fashion in our country.

Gastronomy also has its place in this edition, as Alimentos De España will create tapas inspired by the designers Teresa Helbig and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, while The Principal Madrid Hotel presents “Cocktail for fashion”.

Madrid Es Moda also includes numerous catwalks such as the Maison Mesa inspired by the B series films of the 70s, which is called “The Vampires” and which hosts elements like dance and the plastic arts.
