Día de Muertos in Barrio de las Letras

With the main objective of promoting commerce and hospitality in the Barrio de las Letras, the Las Letras Street association presents Celebra México en Las Letras. This festival full of optimism and enthusiasm, aims to fill the streets with color, joy and desire to live by celebrating one of the most important events on the Mexican calendar: El Día de Muertos.

Officially, the Mexican tradition celebrates this day on November 1 and 2. During this ceremony, the deceased are honored, through different offerings of different types such as food with sweet skulls, or Pan de Muertos (the bread of the dead), also with flowers or the portrait of the person who has left, to celebrate their life. .

With the support of the Madrid City Council through the Madrid Capital de Moda project, this curious occasion presents different proposals that you can enjoy from October 28 to November 2.
