For yet another year, the Madrid City Council, through the Government Area for Economy, Innovation and Employment and the Madrid Capital de Moda project, has published the call for grants to support the participation of the corresponding designers in Madrid Fashion Week to the year 2023, with the main objective of encouraging the participation of designers in said event by presenting their collections, thereby contributing to the positioning of Madrid as the Capital of Fashion and attracting talent to our city.
The competent body for the management of aid is the General Directorate of Commerce and Hospitality.
APPLICANTS
▶ Fashion designers and designers (individuals or legal entities) who have presented their collections both in person and in digital format at:
➖ The official calendar of Madrid Fashion Week, either on the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week catwalk or at the Madrid es Moda event at any of its locations, held between January 1 and August 31 of 2023.
➖ In any other event or action of a similar nature held during the period of time between January 1 and August 31, 2023, which due to its media repercussion and economic impact in the sector contributes to reinforcing the image of Madrid as the capital Fashion.
OBJETIVES
▶ Financing certain expenses incurred by designers in the preparation and presentation of their creations and collections at events included in Madrid Fashion Week or others of a similar nature and impact.
AMOUNT OF THE GRANT
The amount allocated in 2023 is 385.000 euros for the 2023 call, with 10,000 euros being the maximum amount of the subsidy to be awarded per applicant.
WHAT EXPENSES WILL YOU HELP PAY?
▶ The fee paid for participation in said events.
▶ The rental of the space for the presentation of the collection.*
▶ The salary of the personnel hired for the modeling of the presentation.
▶ The expenses of the technical production of the parade or presentation.
▶ Expenses related to the communication of the presentation of the creation and the collection, such as the hiring of photo and video production, management of social networks, online and offline media, and communication agency (organization of the presentation, development of the communication plan, and public relations actions)
In order to be valued, these expenses must be identified and formulated precisely.
*Only the expense derived from the payment of the rent of the space used for the presentation, either in face-to-face or digital format, exclusively during the days of its development, will be considered eligible.
HOW ARE APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED?
The eligible period is between January 1 and August 31, 2023.

Through the Electronic Office of the Madrid City Council, where the application form will be completed, accompanying it with the corresponding documentation.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS
For the 2023 call, the application submission period will be from September 1 to 15, 2023.
