V Madrid Es Moda’s Showcase Competition

V Madrid Es Moda's Showcase Competition

Madrid es Moda is the festival that accompanies each edition of MBFWMADRID, and that’s why one more year is in charge of putting the finishing touch to one of the most important fashion events in our country.

What better way to say goodbye (until the next edition) that rewarding talent and effort? On February 4, the Iberostar Las Letras Gran Vía Hotel in the very heart of Madrid hosted the award ceremony for the winners of the V Madrid Es Moda Showcase Competition.

This initiative was born thanks to the collaboration of Madrid es Moda with organizations such as the Community of Madrid, Madrid City Council, Madrid Capital de Moda and ACME, the Fashion Creators Association of Spain. The main objective of this project is to develop creativity supporting talent, either from emerging figures or from the most important designers of the Spanish scene.

The V Madrid Es Moda Showcase Competition, as in its previous edition, has allowed to present its creations to the youngest thanks to its “novel category”. This award for the Best Novel Showcase was handed to the students of ESNE (University School of Design, Innovation and Technology) in collaboration with Ulises Mérida, Capas Seseña and Calzados Franjul.

It was a classic and elegant proposal: a traditional showcase inspired by the circus atmosphere, where they highlighted male pieces by Capas Seseña and a richly decorated dress by designer Ulises Mérida.

The award for Best Professional Showcase was for Reliquiae thanks to the work of its creative director Héctor Jareño, whose artwork was inspired by his passion for architecture and art.

Congratulations to the winners! From Madrid Capital de Moda we want to thank all the participants for sharing their art and their love for fashion with us.
