From January 24 to the 29th Madrid hosted one of the most important events for the city: Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. The latest edition of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week has left us unforgettable moments and unique creations designed for the next Fall – Winter 2019 – 2020 season. From January 24 to the 29th Madrid hosted one of the most important events for the city: Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

In one of the most significant events for the fashion universe, the talented Spanish designers have presented their new creations belonging to the FW 2019-2020 collection.

Like every year, most of the shows have taken place in the IFEMA – Feria de Madrid, but some creators have decided to move their presentations to emblematic places in the capital such as the Palacio de Cibeles or Puerta del Sol.

For example, OTEYZA took their models to the Teatro Español, the place where they chose to present “Lances”. Within its new collection, we could notice garments loaded with elegant tradition supported by solid fabrics and masculine details.

Pilar Dalbat also chose a historical space to present “La Villa”, a collection with which she intended to bring “the villagers” back; those women who lived in the Madrid of the Golden Age. Female silhouettes, traditional textures and colors inspired by the stained-glass windows of the Patio de Cristal de la Casa de Villa were some of the ingredients that were part of their creations for the FW 2019 -2020 season.

Moisés Nieto was one of those in charge of opening MBFWMADRID, presenting his collection “This is not a fucking runway” Vol. III on Thursday the 24th at the IED Master Madrid. On this occasion, the designer wanted to reflect on today’s consumption of fashion, presenting an impeccable, balanced and durable collection.

Maison Mesa and Shoop put the finishing touch to MBFWMADRID by presenting their new works on Tuesday 29.

Maison Mesa was responsible for moving us back to the 70s, inspired by the movie “Las vampiras” by Jesús Franco. Steaming fabrics and fluid silhouettes played a key role in her new collection: supporting the empowerment of women without losing a bit of femininity.

While Shoop took yoga and oriental philosophy as his main source of inspiration when creating his Fall – Winter 2019 – 2020 collection; where you could see classic fabrics, tye-die prints, and colorful clothes full of pockets and zippers.

In addition to all this, throughout these six days of one of the most important events for the world of the design in our country, we have been able to see risky proposals, nostalgic airs, and especially, a lot of fashion.
