The 78th edition of MBFW Madrid has kicked off with a truly irresistible glamorous air that can be seen in the upcoming Spring – Summer 2024 season, leaving us with unique moments that we have been able to enjoy in Madrid as the capital of international design during Fashion Week. The first two days of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid started with the OFF fashion shows held in different parts of the city such as COAM, the space chosen by Pilar Dalbat, the Plaza de Colón where Maison Mesa paraded or the central Palacio de Santoña where Eduardo Navarrete presented his collection ‘10,1’. The third day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid, the first held on the IFEMA catwalk, kicked off with Pedro del Hierro who took us to a Havana full of nostalgia and elegance. Jorge Vázquez reinterpreted the fashion of the 60s from his particular vision, Simorra, Claro Couture, Ynésuelves, and Paloma Súarez used a delicate palette of powdery tones that evoke a warm and romantic atmosphere, and Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada was in charge of closing the day with a bet full of joy and colour.

Thursday 14th

IFEMA hosted a second day full of plays on volumes and personality. Dolores Cortés took Bali as the main inspiration for her swimwear collection, while MALNE made a particular tribute to the Far West, where Teresa Helbig also took us with her skirt and waistcoats made of leather and suede. Geometric prints and sumptuous fabrics could be seen in the garments created by Isabel Sanchís, Custo Barcelona and Hanníbal Laguna. For its part, Mans presented on the catwalk in pavilion 14.1. its first collection for women in which satin had a large presence in numerous garments.

Friday 15th

The third day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid held at IFEMA left us with a day full of colour and joy proposing an upcoming Spring Summer 2024 season that will be vibrant and optimistic. Ulises Mérida showed, in addition to his collection made for RENFE, a series of elegant and subtle garments combined with the capes of Capas Seseña. Fely Campo was inspired by Cuban culture and Art Deco to create her ZIGURAT collection full of enthusiasm. Lola Casademunt by Maite brought back the ostentation of Ancient Egypt, while Odette Álvarez took us to nineteenth-century Venice with iridescent fabrics and large volumes, and JC Pajares showed a sexy, risky collection in which the combination of textures was the real protagonist.

The fourth and final day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid showcased the proposals of the young designers who participated in EGO. The upcycling, the play of fabrics and risky patterns were some of the proposals that could be seen on the catwalk showing that the future of Spanish fashion has a lot to say.
