Madrid Craft Week will take place from November 11 to 20 with a Christmas edition to promote commerce and crafts in the city of Madrid, celebrating the value of what is handmade and sustainable luxury workshops, visits, or exhibitions can be discovered during these days, to highlight the importance of the craft world within the sectors of fashion, decoration, art and gastronomy, always claiming the relevance that sustainability has in this sector counting on this seventh edition with more than 250 participating businesses.
This new Madrid Craft Week brings us: the II celebration of the Craft Awards, a new circuit of luxury hotels, and Madrid Craft Week The Exhibition -with the most cutting-edge artisans in contemporary design- are some of the essential events.
On this new occasion, different associations of merchants from Madrid neighborhoods will participate again, such as Las Letras Street (Barrio de las Letras) Chueca Diversa , Salesas Madrid or , among many other collaborators, among which of course is the Madrid City Council, through the project.

▶ 2nd Edition of the Craft Awards: The Ateneo de Madrid will be the venue chosen for the Vice Mayor of Madrid, Begoña Villacís, to inaugurate the 2nd edition of the Madrid Craft Week Awards on November 11, awards that seek to recognize the effort, work and talent, in addition to valuing craftsmanship from different fields.
Prizes will be awarded within different categories such as Best Artisan, Artisan with International Projection, Career, Artisan Trade, Support Company for Crafts, Artisan Neighborhood or Gastronomic Crafts are the award-winning categories, in addition to the SACo Prize for Contemporary Crafts and the ACTM Prize for Textile Crafts .
▶ Craft Space: A market, where artisans who do not have a physical store can sell their products. A place to live unique, surprising experiences around the Craft & Trend world. The COAM (C/ Hortaleza, 63) will host the Espacio Craft on November 19 and November 20.
▶ Jornada de Artesanía: On November 16 at Súa by Triciclo (Calle Moratín, 22) there will be a craft day made up of three round tables led by the protagonists of the sector:
➖ Homofaber, the most prestigious international craft platform, belonging to the Michelangelo Foundation.
➖ Spanish Association of Contemporary Crafts (SACo), which will revolve around the relationship between crafts and design.
➖ Association of Textile Creators of Madrid (ACTM): In a joint action with the Barrio de las Letras, ACTM will give visibility to 10 of its artisans by exhibiting their creations in the windows of different shops in the neighborhood.
▶ Special Circuit Luxury Hotels: different hotels in Madrid will participate in this new edition. They will be part of Madrid Craft Week: The Westin Palace, The Four Seasons, The Madrid Edition and Rosewood Villamagna Hotel.
In the first you can see a beautiful exhibition by Felipe Conde, fourth generation of a saga of luthiers between November 11 and 14, and in The Madrid Edition, Ana Carrasco, founder of Malababa, will be the guest of Ladies Who Punch, the exclusive meeting that brings together inspiring women around a punch.
▶Madrid Craft Week – The Exhibition: At the Silk Gallery (Calle Pelayo, 52. Free admission) between November 11 and 16, you can enjoy a select sample of key names in contemporary craftsmanship and design, such as Álvaro Catalán de Ocón, Sagarmínaga Atelier, José Luis Bazán, Idoia Cuesta, Fernando Alcalde, Mercedes Vicente and Toni Porto, members of the Spanish Association of Contemporary Crafts (SACo).
