This year, Madrid Pride comes with numerous proposals to enjoy the city from Friday, July 1 to Sunday, July 10.

Like every year, MADO (Madrid Pride) continues to promote the city as a tourist, quality leisure, culture and shopping destination worldwide for the LGTBI community, while positioning Madrid as a city committed to diversity, plurality and the visibility of all forms of love.

The Pride celebrations are one of the events that attract the largest public to Madrid, generating a large hotel occupancy and an increase in consumption in hotels, transport, commerce, leisure and culture. During the celebration of the Pride of Madrid, the city has different initiatives that will be celebrated in different points and neighborhoods of Madrid.

From the Chueca neighborhood, the pride epicenter of the city, its Chueca Diversa merchants’ association launches the Chueca Diversa Passport. This is an initiative to promote and give prominence to local commerce and the local hotel industry carried out between June 27 and July 5. The creativity of the image of the Passport to Chueca has been carried out by the fashion designer Eduardo Navarrete.

Both visitors and locals from Madrid will be able to scan the QR codes placed in the shop windows of the different establishments to be able to enjoy discounts and promotions offered by local establishments.

In addition to launching a shop window contest, which this year celebrates its third edition, an initiative open to the entire city and that wants to value businesses that join and commit to the colors of diversity. In addition to Chueca Diversa, this initiative is joined by other associations such as Las Letras Street and is open to the rest of the neighbourhoods.

The Municipal Markets will also be protagonists through the “Market Pride” campaign promoted by Diversa Global and which shows the great diversity and closeness of the Madrid Markets.

On the Todo está en Madrid website, the City Council proposes that the public take a Madrid Pride route through shops, bars, restaurants and much more, offering an opportunity to continue supporting the commercial fabric of the city. Check all the information here.

In the main arteries of the city, Paseo de Recoletos, Gran Vía, etc. You can see the “Pride of Madrid” campaign that has been promoted by the Department of Economy, Innovation and Employment of the Madrid City Council, which comes to show the support for this great event and the great positive economic impact it has for the city .

This 2022, the parade will take place on Saturday, July 9 on its traditional route from Atocha to Colón, this year it will also have the traditional floats of institutions and associations.

Throughout the 10 days of this celebration, Madrid Orgullo also proposes different activities such as concerts, exhibitions or talks, which will be held at key points on the cultural map of the city such as art galleries, theaters, cinemas, museums, or cultural centers.
