Madrid de Las Luces accompanies you on your Christmas shopping

Christmas arrives in Madrid with more than 230 illuminated sites that can be seen in the 21 districts of the city among which we can enjoy some classics such as the decoration of the Plaza Canalejas, as well as Jorge Juan, Cibeles, since almost 12 million 100% LED bulbs have been used and many other streets that are decorated with lights to enjoy the magic of Christmas because once again Madrid shines these dates.

The lighting, which can be enjoyed until 7 January, illuminates more than 230 sites with the traditional arches, 6,600 chains, 115 cherry trees and twelve large luminous fir trees, among other elements.

SCHEDULE:

➡From Sunday to Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

➡ Friday and Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

➡ December 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

➡ December 24 and January 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.

➡ December 31 from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

christmas Lights  & spanish fashion

For yet another year, the Madrid City Council, through the Madrid Capital de Moda project, collaborates with the Fashion Creators Association (ACME) to dress the streets of the city with the luminous designs of some of the Spanish fashion creators.

This year, new creators participate in the Christmas lighting with their creations such as Moisés Nieto who has decorated Arenal street, Ana Locking who has done the same in Chueca square and Helena Rohner who has designed the new Christmas tree in Plaza de España.

If you stroll through the streets of the city to enjoy the Madrid de Las Luces you will discover the menina dressed as a bride made by Andrés Sardá as part of the Meninas Madrid Gallery in collaboration with Antonio Azzatto, which can be seen in its Paseo de Prado location, while those who pass through the Plaza de las Ventas will discover the fir tree made by Devota & Lomba.

Duyos decorates Calle Fuencarral with a design made with jewels and precious stones, on Montera and Gran Vía you will see García Madrid’s luminous fir tree, on Calle Preciados you will find Juan Vidal’s bows and red heart, while Maya Hansen has created a reindeer design for Calle Montera, Roberto Verino has his beautiful starry fir tree in Plaza Mayor and Marta Rota of Tot Homs has filled Calle Goya with messages of peace.
