Ruta de la Tapa | Costa Fleming

The neighborhood known as Costa Fleming began to be created in the 1950s with the arrival of the marines from the Torrejón de Ardoz base settled in the area. Little by little, this area that is located in Chamartín, between the Plaza de Castilla and the Bernabéu, grew with the establishment of restaurants and shops. Today, the neighborhood continues to be an example of balance between the residential and the commercial.
Years later, the Costa Fleming Association was born, which is responsible for promoting the area with the celebration of different events such as the one that arrives from November 18 to 21: The Costa Fleming Tapa Route.
Many establishments participate in this initiative that places the area in one of the most interesting points on the gastronomic map of Madrid. Through an offer that consists of paying € 5 for the participating tapa and a Costa Fleming Beer (or wine or soft drink), all those who attend the Tapa Route will be able to vote for the best tapa in the contest and win a prize.
