ELLE’s photo exhibition: ’75 years beside women’

ELLE magazine celebrates its 75th anniversary with “ELLE 75 Years Besides Women” a photographic exhibition managed by the Department of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Madrid City Council.
The exhibition can be visited free of charge until next January 10, going to the Centro Centro space [3rd floor (Madrid City Council)] and it will be possible to see 140 iconic covers of the publication and will be curated by Paco Pérez Valencia as director museographic.
Through a tour of the eleven sections that divide the room, it will be possible to observe the eleven values that identify the reader of the magazine: sensitive, passionate, committed, bold, chic, creative, influential, eternal, positive, independent and natural .
In addition, not only the covers of ELLE can be seen, but also emblematic accessories, copies of original magazines, two pieces by the artists Laura Millán and María Ortega created in collaboration with Nigerian women from the Tres Mil Viviendas neighborhood, in Seville .
The exhibition is completed with a series of videos that, throughout the exhibition, collect the history of ELLE, congratulatory messages, statements by its protagonists recalling covers, productions, making offs …
The content of the exhibition has its virtual extension through QR codes that are present in each section and that allow access to exclusive additional content.
In addition, the Madrid City Council, through the Madrid Capital de Moda project, supports this initiative with an exhibition on mupis placed on Serrano Street. Until December 15, you will be able to enjoy some of the most important covers of the publication starring great figures of fashion and glamor such as Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot, Sara Carbonero or Inés Sastre, among others.
