Centro Centro, one of the cultural spaces belonging to the Madrid City Council, whose headquarters are in the Palacio de Cibeles, is a very active enclave within the cultural life of the city. Located within the Veranos de la Villa program (it can be visited until August 28) we can find this exhibition that shows the work of some of the most followed Swedish comic creators today. Organized with the Swedish Embassy in Spain, Seriefrämjandet and Swedish Art Council, Aquí llegan ellas… desde Suecia con cómics nuevos (‘Here they arrive …’) wants to bring the Spanish public closer to all these artists who have a very particular vision of life, something that can be appreciated in their staff job. A matter of ambience
The 1920s were undoubtedly a groundbreaking and transgressive time. That same spirit was also present in Madrid, which at that time became one of the most fun and active European capitals, taking advantage of its neutrality during World War I. The exhibition Cuestion de Ambiente (A matter of ambience ) recovers all those characters who lived Madrid from the hedonism of its times, among which you can find theatrical costumers such as Álvaro Retana and Antonio Hoyos or the dancer Tórtola Valencia.
