During Fashion Week, Madrid City Council once again takes fashion to the streets so that both locals and visitors can enjoy this event that makes our city an international design capital.
Thanks to the collaboration with the project ‘Andalucía es flamenca’, sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía; co-financed with European Funds, Madrid Capital de Moda and Todo está en Madrid will host in the heart of Madrid (Calle Alcalá, Canalejas section) the Andalucía es flamenca fashion show that will feature 50 designers and fashion brands made in Andalusia.
ANDALUSIAN ART IN THE HEART OF MADRID
Behind the creative idea of this project is GO! Eventos y Comunicación, the company of the Huelva model Laura Sánchez and her partner Javier Villa, whose main objective is to promote Andalusian fashion, from flamenco fashion, prêt-à-porter and haute couture, showing the talent of Andalusian creators.
“This year we have gone a step further, because Andalusia is much more than polka dots and ruffles, it is inspiration, it is know-how in fashion, and that is why we have also brought party and guest proposals in this second edition”, says Laura Sánchez, thanking the support of the Madrid City Council, through the Madrid Capital de Moda and Todo está en Madrid programmes, managed by the government area of Economy, Innovation and Finance.
In order to enjoy the charm of the Madrid sunset a stone’s throw from Puerta del Sol, the ‘Andalucía es flamenca’ fashion show will begin with a flamenco show offered by Curro Candela’s company. Are you going to miss it? Enjoy this Fashion Week in Madrid.
