The Asociación Creadores de Moda de España (ACME) continues to grow with the incorporation of three new firms: SKFK, Pablo Erroz and Berhanyer, Spanish designer fashion firms whose work adds value to diversity, sustainable luxury and timelessness.

skfk

Maia Curutchet is the creative director of SKFK, a brand based in the Basque Country since 1999. The brand has a unique and timeless style and currently has 600 multi-brand points of sale internationally and 13 own shops in Spain and France. In addition, SKFK was the first Fair Trade® certified fashion brand in Spain, and continues to move forward thanks to the joint work of different artists and designers, committed to a regenerative fashion that relies on both creativity and innovation.

Regarding the incorporation of SKFK to ACME, its founder, Mikel Elzo comments: “It is very important to be part of this platform together with great fashion references in our country and to be able to share with them challenges and concerns, as well as to celebrate and defend together the made in Spain label and slow fashion”.

pablo erroz

The designer Pablo Erroz has been a great pioneer in Spanish designer fashion, choosing fashion without gender and without seasons as the central axis of his creations and is currently one of the designers with the greatest projection, combining streetwear with an easy, sophisticated and environmentally friendly luxury. In addition to presenting his collections on important catwalks such as MBFWMadrid, Vienna Fashion Week, 080 Barcelona Fashion, he has been awarded important prizes such as the prestigious Woolmark Prize International (2017), among others. Pablo Erroz states that “Our incorporation to ACME comes with the idea of being able to continue exploring alliances, sharing knowledge and exploring new synergies that may arise”.

berhanyer

This 2024 is special because one of the firms that has been a true icon of fashion made in Spain returns: Berhanyer, the brand that keeps alive the legacy of the great Elio Berhanyer now has the creative direction of Sergio de Lázaro, founder and current designer of the firm Otrura. ACME wanted to add to its ranks this prestigious brand, headed by Sergio de Lázaro, a visionary who in 2021 received the L’Oréal award for the best men’s and women’s collection at MBFW Madrid. “For us it is very important to be with the two houses (Otrura and now Berhanyer) within ACME, because in the end it is a support for the association, for the work we have been doing and above all, for the future, to have a voice and try to promote fashion in our country as much as possible. Not only designer fashion, but fashion with capital letters in Spain”, adds Sergio de Lázaro about his incorporation into the Association of Fashion Creators of Spain (ACME).
