According to its creators, Madrid Design Festival’s main objective is to make Madrid a key point in the international design map. From February 1 to the 28th you can enjoy a new edition of this event whose headquarters will be the Official College of Architects of Madrid.
The festival will take place in other main venues such as Conde Duque, Hotel Only You Atocha, and Espacio Fundación Telefónica, but it will also have other secondary venues that are key locations for the culture of Madrid such as the Círculo de Bellas Artes, La Casa Encendida or El Matadero, among others.
The Madrid Design Festival program hosts activities, lectures and exhibitions on different disciplines such as interior design, graphic design or communication.
The art of architecture has a special presence in this event, because it has the COAM as the main location. However, festival attendees will be able to enjoy different options such as gastronomic experiences, photographic exhibitions or getting to know the guest project of this edition: “Made in Creative Quarter, Bucharest”.
Graphic design also has an important presence in Madrid Design Festival.
Exhibitions like #FINA ESTAMPA. ILLUSTRATION AND FASHION can be visited at the ABC Museum; and together with many others they shape the Madrid Design Festival program. Another of the exhibitions that can be visited is the exhibition that the Museo del Traje has made in honor of the designer Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada.
In addition to interior design and communication, music will also be part of Madrid Design Festival, since its program also includes rock concerts by groups like Texxoco or Solo Astra.
