Virtual Haute Couture Atelier | The Technocreative

Last 2021, La Tecnocreativa held ‘Virtual Fashion and Metaverse‘, a pioneering event that wanted to share the future of fashion design. This 2022, has had its second edition that has been organized together with the Rey Juan Carlos University, the Spanish Haute Couture house Basaldúa in collaboration with the Tecnocreativa Collective.

On this occasion, ‘Moda Virtual y Metaverso’ has focused on being the first Virtual Haute Couture atelier, presenting the first 360º service with hyper-realistic avatars, both physical and virtual, in which a tailored suit is created for the client and his avatar.

According to Juan Carlos Olmos (Simulation & Tailoring TD at Pixar Animation Studios) new technologies, virtual fashion and avatars have reached the point of maturity.

The conference, which took place at the Madrid headquarters of La tecnocreativa, was attended by the engineer Javier Reyes, whose team developed CLOTHREYES, the first clothing simulation software, which was commissioned to develop the first virtual fashion show, IMAGINA by Thierry Mugler (1998).

For her part, Beatriz Ordovás, from Christie’s, spoke about art in virtual space, and the blockchain.

The event ended with a round table in which specialized pioneers in the discipline participated, such as Isabel Pascual de Quinto Santos-Suárez, who put the problem on the table and, of course, the opportunities for brands in the Metaverse and the challenges for the protection of virtual avatars; Luis Sotillos Sanz, pioneer in the Metaverse and coordinator of the Immersive Course in the Metaverse and Web3 of La tecnocreativa, and Marina Picasso and Tamara Ruiz Calleja shared the challenges for virtual fashion, and also the advantages provided by 3D technology.

La tecnocreativa company offers all those who want to train in the fashion of the future, the first 3D Master in creating Avatars and Skins for the metaverse, gaming and animation in Europe. A pioneering program for designers that teaches how to create 3D avatars and their skins and “Total looks” for the Metaverse, animation and gaming”.
