MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK’ S 70th EDITION

70º Edición Mercedes Benz Fashion Week

The new edition of MBFWMadrid will wear trendy Madrid from July 5 to 10. Featuring parades of the most important names in the Spanish scene such as Roberto Torretta, Duyos, Hannibal Laguna, Ana Locking or Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, this time the designers will present their collections belonging to the Spring-Summer 2020 season.

As every year, Madrid Fashion Capital, will bring this event to the general public, placing a giant screen in the Plaza de Colón next to the Hotel Meliá Fénix, between 11 am and until approximately 10 pm.

From Friday 4 and until July 11, you can enjoy live all the parades held at IFEMA, throughout the different days of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

In addition, as has happened in previous editions, some of the parades will take place outside the IFEMA premises, to give a presence to some of the most emblematic places in Madrid.

Maison Mesa will celebrate its parade at the Teatro Circo Price, while Pilar Dalbat and Juan Carlos Pajares, will do it in the Retiro Park, in the gardens of Cecilio Rodríguez or María Ke Fisherman that will present its new collection on the bridge of Toledo.

Also on this occasion, the organizers of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week have wanted this edition to be a tribute to Cuca Solana. One of the biggest promoters of Fashion Week, Solana died in the middle of this month of March, so that on Monday July 8 there will be a small act in her memory at IFEMA in which she will be named Associate of Honor in Memoriam.

ACME will also join this tribute, naming Cuca Solana, Associate of Honor in Memoriam, but of the Association of Fashion Creators of Spain.

This 70th edition will be the last one of Charo Izquierdo as director. The journalist Nuria de Miguel will be responsible for collecting the witness at the head of MBFW Madrid.

Madrid is Moda, the urban fashion festival, will accompany the Fashion Week with an extensive program in which design, art and gastronomy will be protagonists.
