Madrid Shines: Un viaje por la historia de la moda

 

Madrid has always been the Capital of Fashion, which is why the exhibition organized by the Fashion Department of the Villanueva University: Madrid Shines. One hundred years of fashion in Madrid offers the viewer a historical journey through Madrid fashion over 100 years from 1920 to 2020.

 

The exhibition could be seen in Hall 14 of IFEMA during this latest edition of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid and now you can enjoy it online through a landing created expressly for it. The digital exhibition takes us back in time from the 1920s, passing through the 1940s, the colorful 1960s or the irreverent 1980s. In the different decades you can see designs by great creators such as Pertegaz, Delpozo, Ágata Ruiz de la Oteyza or Pedro del Hierro in different scenarios such as some of the emblematic places of the city.

In addition, each decade offers interviews with different personalities linked to the world of fashion:Modesto Lomba  talks about the arrival of Haute Couture in the 40s, Lorenzo Caprile who explains what Madrid fashion was like in the Roaring 20s or Jorge Vázquez, who talks about the presence of Pertegaz in international fashion, among many other speakers such as Eduardo Zamácola (CEO of Neck&Neck and president of Acotex); fashion journalists and photographers such as Ouka Leele or Marta de la Calzada; models such as Laura Ponte, and experts such as Lydia López Trabado, Juan Gutiérrez (Museo del Traje)
