Light Friday returns to Lavapiés supporting local commerce

Light Friday vuelve a Lavapiés apoyando el comercio local

For the Madrid City Council, it is essential to encourage local commerce. Through its two projects Madrid Capital de Moda and Todo está en Madrid, it will provide its support with the Lavapiés Merchants Association with the Light Friday initiative.

Black Friday is a commercial initiative that comes from the Anglo-Saxon world that is based on discounts and promotions. Normally, large stores have incorporated this custom, on the last Friday in November.

For some years now, the Merchants Association of this traditional Madrid neighborhood, In Lavapiés, has wanted to create a new concept called Light Friday, giving rise to an event that wants to vindicate the importance of the symbiosis between tradition and modernity, reflected in local commerce.

During the month of November, different stores in the neighborhood will offer a wide range of products, encouraging locals and visitors to enjoy the products offered by the Lavapiés establishments.

Hairdressers, gift shops, food, or plants will participate in this campaign in which the local Lavapiés business wants to show the enormous quality of its products and the work of specialized professionals who give personalized attention to customers.
