Madrid is full of Pianos!

Through the collaboration of the Madrid City Council, the Merchants’ Association of the Barrio de las Letras, with the support of the Jesús Serra Foundation, the Catalana Occidente Group and the 68th edition of the María Canals International Music Competition, the initiative “Tu ciudad se llena de pianos” (Your city fills up with pianos) is once again being presented in Madrid.
On 22th September, 10 pianos, two of them grand pianos, will be distributed in different parts of the city centre, which will become authentic open-air stages. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., professional musicians, music students and amateurs of all ages will be able to delight the public in the streets with the pieces of their choice.

The Barrio de las Letras will host this event in some points of this central area 10 pianos, some of them grand pianos:
▶ Plaza de Murillo (next to the entrance to the Real Jardín Botánico).
▶ Plaza de Platerías
▶ Lope de Vega House-Museum (Calle Cervantes)
Carrera de San Jerónimo (next to the Hotel Westin Palace Madrid)
▶ Sevilla and Alcalá crossroads (next to the Four Seasons)
▶ Plaza de Santa Ana (next to the statue of Lorca)
▶ Plaza de las Cortes (garden in front of Congreso)
▶ Plaza de Jacinto Benavente (next to the statue of Jacinto Benavente)
▶ Plaza de Canalejas
▶ Plaza de Juan Goytisolo (next to the Conservatorio Superior de Madrid)
